Crestwood Hills Nursery School is a member of a statewide council of cooperative nursery schools. This organization, the California Council of Parent Participation Nursery Schools (CCPPNS), links us with schools and like-minded parents all over Los Angeles and California. Currently, the CCPPNS has more than 320 member schools statewide, divided into sub councils. Their thorough and information-laden website is: www.ccppns.org
Every spring the Co-Op Council holds a convention with seminars on parenting, child advocacy, educational philosophy and activities such as gardening, art, and science. It is always a fascinating and fun weekend. The convention site alternates between northern and southern California. When the convention is in southern California, you are expected and urged to attend. It is a unique learning opportunity. Speak with the Co-Op Council Representatives for more information about the convention and other benefits of the Co-Op Council.
